Risks are matters that potentially have a detrimental affect on your business. DIAL A QS recognise that risks on construction projects can come in various forms such as health and safety hazards, financial/contractual risks, delays to program completion dates and design and/or workmanship issues that could have adverse affects on quality. We identify these areas of risk using management tools such as risk registers which are initially evaluated and then continually monitored in effort to eliminate risks where possible or where this is impractical; to reduce them by employing mitigation strategies. DIAL A QS apply their knowledge of the technology of construction methods and products to advocate changes to design schemes such as to simplify layouts and/or detailing or to adopt alternative specifications which may help speed up build times, reduce number or complexity of trades at interfaces, mitigate weaknesses and eliminate health & safety concerns and/or to bring costs down to within budget.
